Setting a Minimum Rate for Online Quotes

Configure minimum pricing to ensure every ride meets your base profitability threshold.

Why Set a Minimum Rate

A minimum rate ensures that every ride booked through your system meets a base price, regardless of how short the distance. This protects your business from unprofitable short-distance bookings and covers your fixed costs like driver time, vehicle wear, and dispatch overhead.

Configuring Minimum Rates

To set a minimum rate, navigate to Settings → Service Types and look for the minimum fare option. You can set a different minimum rate each service type. The selected vehicles base rate will be added to the minimum pricing to ensure variability in your offerings.

How Minimum Rates Affect Quotes

When a customer requests a quote and the calculated fare is below your minimum rate, the system will automatically use the minimum rate plus the vehicle's base rate instead. This ensures your quotes are always at or above your baseline pricing.

Minimum Rates for Different Services

Consider setting different minimum rates for different service types. Airport transfers, hourly service, and point-to-point rides may each need their own minimum to ensure profitability. You can configure these separately in your rate settings.
